Installation instructions


Installing the Hand/Trauma web app


Here is a step-by-step guide on how to install the Hand/Trauma app on your desktop, iOS or Android device.


Installation on the desktop via the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge web browsers

Call up the URL https://hand.klsmartin.com/en in the browser.
Click on the installation icon in the top right-hand corner of the address bar.
Click on "Install".
The web app is now installed and appears with an icon on your desktop.

 

Installation on your iOS device

Call up the URL https://hand.klsmartin.com/en via Safari.
Tap on the share symbol at the bottom center.
Now tap on "Add to home screen" and then on "Add".
The web app now appears with an icon on your home screen.

 

Installation on your Android device via Google Chrome

Call up the URL https://hand.klsmartin.com/en in the browser.
Tap on the three dots at the top right.
Now tap on "Install app" and then on "Install".
The web app now appears with an icon under "All apps".
You can now add the app to your home screen.

Ulnar Head Prosthesis (Standard / Sphercical)

Fields of use

Standard UHP ulnar head prosthesis

The standard UHP ulnar head prosthesis (standard UHP prosthesis heads in combination with the UHP prosthesis stems with standard/standard+/revision collar) is used as follows:

  • In the case of painful distal radial ulnar joint resulting from the following if the pain cannot be treated by conservative therapy:

    • Primary osteoarthritis

    • Post-traumatic osteoarthritis resulting from:

    • Radius fractures

    • Tears in the ulnocarpal ligament complex

    • Ulnar impaction syndrome

    • Rheumatoid arthritis

  • Destruction of the distal radial ulnar joint by tumors, for instance

  • As revision in the case of painful instability due to unsatisfactory results after:

    • Darrach procedure

    • Bowers procedure

    • Sauvé-Kapandji procedure

 

Spherical UHP ulnar head prosthesis

The spherical UHP ulnar head prosthesis (spherical UHP prosthesis heads in combination with the UHP prosthesis stems with revision collar) is used as follows:

  • As revision in the case of painful instability due to unsatisfactory results after:

    • Sauvé-Kapandji procedure
